The Lençóis Maranhenses are located in the state of Maranhão, in the northeast of Brazil. The city with the most structured tourist base for visitation is Barreirinhas.

It is also possible and common to stay in the village of Atins (a district of Barreirinhas) and Santo Amaro do Maranhão.

What the best season to visit it?

The best season usually takes place between May and September, when the lagoons are full and crystal clear.

How many days are the best?
